Below are the top questions we receive from our guests. If you have a question not answered here or elsewhere on our site, please send us an email.

Are there other places to eat nearby?

We are about 30 minutes from Petersburg. Our favorite place there is Lidia’a, a Mexican restaurant. There are other diner and fast food options. The nicest restaurant is O’Neil’s, in Moorefield, about 45 minutes from the Inn.

Do you offer dinner every evening?

Yes we offer dinner every evening on request. We prefer one day advance notice but can handle last minute requests.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

We will be glad to prepare meals to meet your dietary needs. This includes vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and any other restrictions.

Do you serve lunch?

We offer gourmet picnic baskets which usually includes: choice of sandwich, Route 11 chips, cookies, fresh fruit, water or soft drinks, chocolates, served in a picnic basket or back pack to take with you.

These are approximate drive times. Don’t panic, the time may be longer than you expected because we have curves and mountains which can slow you down. So just relax and enjoy the scenic drive.

What address do I put into my GPS or Google maps to find the Inn?

GPS and Google maps are not always helpful in this area. We are glad to e-mail driving directions to you from your location to the Inn. We suggest that you follow these directions, especially the closer you get to us. You can try entering our physical address of 235 Canyon View Lane, Cabins, WV 26855. This is a fairly new E-911 address and may not be loaded in your mapping software. An alternative address is “Smoke Hole Road” but there is no number. Our GPS coordinates are 38-54-12.7N 79-15-56.7W.

Do you have cell service or WiFi at the Inn?

We do not have cell service at the Inn. Coming from Cabins, you will lose cell service as you cross the bridge at the beginning of Smoke Hole Road. We do have a landline that you are welcome to use for calls within the US at no charge. We do have WiFi available in the main Inn. It is satellite broadband and is not BLAZING fast.

Will you provide customized itineraries or concierge services?

Yes, upon request we would be glad to coordinate and plan your getaway based on your interests.

Are pets or children allowed in the inn?

We allow children 12 or older in the Inn. Children under 12 are welcome in the suites or the Hideaway cabin. Pets are only allowed in the Hideaway Cabin. Children of all ages are welcome to have breakfast or dinner in the Inn. If you are booking all the rooms in the Inn, then children are welcome anywhere.

What are the most popular activities in the area?

Hiking, fishing, rock climbing, rafting, scenic drives, visiting caverns, skiing, zip line, bird watching, star gazing, soaking in the hot tub, and relaxing on a rocker on the front porch.
