So if you are a "foodie or wine lover" join Ed and Carol in the kitchen as they share their secrets for their "award winning" dishes. Take home a collectible recipe book with their most popular recipes and dishes. This bi-annual event is held the first weekend after taxes are due in April and the last weekend before Thanksgiving in November.
We are fortunate to have celebrity chefs on occasion. The April cooking school with feature Vegetarian dishes such as Pea and Risotto Pasta, Sweet Potato Cobbler, and Cavetini in an ancient Italian Tomato Sauce. I learned how to make these dishes from Mario Batali and Carla Hall, chefs from the hit TV series, "The Chew".
As part of the cooking school weekend, you will spend time in the kitchen learning from Ed and Carol how to make some of their most popular dishes. On Friday we will make an assortment of tapas and appetizers accompanied by a wine tasting. On Saturday morning you will learn how to make scones, omelets, sleep late French toast, along with other breakfast specialties.
For lunch we will learn to make different soups, a specialty of the inn. We will also make biscotti, Kentucky Derby Pie, and the pea and risotto entrée. The afternoon session will include prepping for dinner which will be an exotic feast. You will learn how to make the Cavetini with Italian sauce, Sweet Potato Cobbler, and Chicken Caesar Angel Hair. We always enjoy cooking with wine and even put some of it in the food. All entrees are paired with wines that we sample while cooking.
